TW2 Gym was a very challenging project for the gym flooring team, this gym is very large, very busy and had to remain open to the public whilst our works were carried out, the time frame we were given for our works to be undertaken was 8 days from start to finish.
We had to uplift over 1600m2 of existing flooring throughout the gym before we could commence the installation of new flooring.
The free weights section of this gym had always caused acoustic issues as the original 40mm free weight tiles were fitted to an existing raised access floor, to get over this problem we removed the raised access flooring, installed two layers of acoustic 25mm shockpad underlay, finished off with our Pliteq GenieMat Fit 70mm Rubber Gym Flooring Tile.
Overall, we installed over 200m2 of Pliteq GenieMat 70mm Tile, 400m2 of 25mm Shockpad Underlay, 300m2 of 20mm Fitness Tile Connect, 700m2 of Karndean Looselay Luxury Vinyl Tile and 24m2 Of Bespoke Sled Track.
