Royal Lancers - Catterick
The Royal Lancers required a complete upgrade of their existing training facility, creating a modern, high-performance environment suitable for the demanding physical training requirements of serving military personnel. It was important that the new facility was durable, versatile, and capable of supporting everything from strength and conditioning to team sports and rehabilitation.
Working in partnership with Pulse Fitness, the Gym Flooring team supplied and installed over 400m² of our extremely durable 40mm heavy-duty rubber flooring. Dedicated solid-red drop zones were incorporated around the power racks, providing additional protection for the subfloor while clearly defining the specialist strength-training areas.
Our experienced installation team also applied a full set of precision-painted court markings directly onto the 40mm rubber tiles, creating courts for badminton, five-a-side football, basketball, and volleyball. A bespoke 60m² black sled track, complete with contrasting inlaid white markings and specialist shock-pad underlay, was also installed to support functional and conditioning work.
The completed Royal Lancers facility now provides serving personnel with a professional, safe, and exceptionally versatile training environment. We are extremely proud to have worked on such a prestigious military project and to have helped create a facility that reflects the standards, discipline and performance expected of the Royal Lancers.
